Shayla and Bryan had the perfect outdoor ceremony followed by a barn reception at the Barn at Dunvilla near Pelican Rapids, MN. These two were introduced by mutual friends and bonded on a weekend of horseback riding and chats around a bonfire and continue to enjoy camping with their horses. The Barn at Dunvilla was the perfect setting for these two horse-loving souls.
Their wedding day started with an ominously high chance of rain that miraculously held off until later after dark. It was the perfect partly cloudy/partly sunny atmosphere for an outdoor ceremony. The Barn at Dunvilla had wonderful space for the guests to gather and socialize outdoors around the grounds.
The dance had all the energy you would expect from a barn wedding being DJ’d by Jeremy Albright. The night even had one of the grandmas on the dance floor.
These stunning florals are actually wood flowers from Sola Wood Flowers, the Bride and her mother dyed the flowers and Anita Berg arranged the bouquets. The Bride’s mother arranged the floral decor. Didn’t they turn out absolutely gorgeous?! This was my first experience photographing wood flowers and I loved working with them.
The Barn at Dunvilla has a stunning bridal suite for getting ready. Excellent for everything from doing your hair and makeup to the final details of putting on your dress. I must also say, Shayla’s personal attendant buttoned Shayla’s dress at record speed! I was very impressed.
The boathouse at the Barn at Dunvilla makes an excellent space for the guys to hang out and get ready before the wedding day. Just a quick walk from the barn, but separate enough that the bride and groom will not accidentally cross paths.
Shayla’s bouquets complemented her bridesmaid dresses so perfectly!
The button in the bouquet was a family heirloom from a family member’s dress. I love these special little details.
