This not-too-short, not-too-long questionnaire helps me get to know your personal style and preferences. Then the style tips help you plan the perfect outfits for your session.
THE SESSION + memories for life
Your session will be the perfect mix of posed strategy and spontaneous fun! Then within 4 weeks of the session you will get access to a full gallery of your images.
Join me in unlocking the secret to creating photos that capture your family dynamic perfectly with natural editing for that perfect pop!
Your session starts with the traditional family poses. Making sure we get the smiling at the camera image everyone wants and needs. From there, we get a little more creative. Letting the little ones wiggle, explore and have fun.
Then after your session, I edit your images in my signature style. You know, that style with just enough bright POP without screaming 'trendy filter'. Because we know you want these photos to look awesome today AND in 10 years.

The classic portrait your parents want to hang on their walls and you want to put on your Christmas card. But also the photo that your kids hate taking and everyone just wants to be done. We usually start here, keep it quick and possibly revisit a couple times throughout the session to make sure we got a good one.
Let your kids shine in their very own portrait. Its a special moment for them to get to pose for the camera and a momento for you to remember them at this stage in life forever.

If the kids will allow (and I know sometimes they don't). But if they do, we always try to snap a photo, or ten of just mom and dad a the end of the session. As parents - I know from experience - its easy to let your relationship get lost in the joys of raising kids, but it is important to also celebrate where it all started.

We go through a variety of promps and poses to help the kiddos really have a good time. Who doesn't want to chase their siblings around mom and dad or sneak up and tickle a family member. If this is an in-home session, we'll take advantage of the elements of your everyday life, possibly playing with legos or a board game around the kitchen table. We may also use this time to explore the photo-flower-field.

QUESTIONNAIRE - The questionnaire scratches the surface of your style preferences AND may even help you think about what you want out of your session.
STYLE TIPS - I have a few basic tips and tricks to help you plan your outfits, while thinking about what types of colors and patterns to avoid.
FOLLOWING THE ENERGY - The kids are the boss of our family sessions. We give them space to be kids between poses.

Please do!! As a lifelong self proclaimed horse girl, I love working with and photographing horses, see my equestrian portfolio on my horses website.
What if I want my session somewhere else?
No worries! Most sessions do take place at the farm, but I am happy to travel to your location or take your senior portraits downtown Detroit Lakes or at the beach.
Can I Bring a Friend to my session?
YES! It is always a good idea to bring along an encouraging friend. If we have time at the end of your session we may even get some photos of the two of you together!
