Evelyn and Ethan’s lakeside wedding was one of those simply beautiful wedding days filled with joy, family, and love. I’ve photographed a number of milestones for Evelyn’s family, including her senior pictures, so it felt very full circle to be a small part of this special day.
Their wedding was held at a private lakeshore near Callaway, MN, tucked back off the road in what is actually a cow pasture (but not to worry, no cows were in attendance at the wedding). It was about as country as it gets (and beautiful)!
As you’ll see below, Evelyn and Ethan skipped the traditional first look. Instead, Ethan saw her for the first time as she walked down the aisle.
And then at the end of the day, we lucked out with some amazing golden hour portraits next to none other than a sunflower field. It made for the perfect, romantic, yet country spot to capture the newlywed couple.

What I’ll remember most from the day isn’t the location or even the sunflowers. It’s the family. Evelyn’s family has been a part of my photography life for years now, and this wedding was full of the kind of warmth and support you hope every couple gets to feel on their wedding day. Thanks so much for inviting me to tag along as you got married!
