Meet Amber

Saturday was one of those weddings that reminded me why I still want to spend my Saturday’s with strangers instead of my new baby girl. Among many things, my couples aren’t strangers at the end of the day. After meeting, doing engagement pictures, talking about their wedding day and then spending one of the most important days of their lives together we are now more than just strangers. We are the kind of friends who might share an occasional email or text, follow each other on social media and like/comment on each other’s posts because we have truly gotten to know each other. Thing is, taking pictures is so much more than posing someone in beautiful light with a pretty background. It is about capturing the soul and their relationship and these two have a beautiful love and respect for each other that radiates through them.

This is why I think it is so important to hire a photographer who you not only like their style of images, but who you also can connect with because it can be the difference between gorgeous pictures on your wedding day and pictures you will treasure forever because they feel truly like you. This is also why I find it so important to have an engagement session with your wedding photographer, because this is an amazing time for us as photographers to see you interact naturally in a low stress environment where time isn’t an issue and no one is watching over our shoulders.

These two had a wedding day that was nothing short of stunning between the details, the location, their vendors and most importantly their love and affection for each other. I hope you enjoy living through their wedding as you scroll through this post.
