Meet Amber

I’m definitely not an #influencer, but I do love telling a close friend about products I’m loving. So lean in, imagine we are having lunch together and chatting about all our current favorite things. These are some things I have been loving in March.

My 3 Favorite Things This Month

PERSONAL – The Schwinn IC4 Exercise Bike

So, the peloton was all the rage during the pandemic. But I’m not feeling peloton level disposable income and wasn’t sure to be honest if biking would be for me. I know I love to bike outdoors but have never used an exercise bike for more than a few minutes or joined a spin class.

Researching Which Bike to Buy

Enter research mode. So my toxic trait is researching something to death when I feel it’s a ‘significant’ investment. (anyone else!?) What exactly significant means depends on the day. But with exercise bikes running anywhere from a hundred dollars to thousands, I found myself scouring the internet to figure out what the difference was.

App Connections

While I still don’t understand some of the differences (maybe some of its just brand name??), I landed on this particular model because it would work with a number of different exercise platforms (Peloton, JRNY, etc.). It doesn’t come with a screen so you can Bluetooth to your device, I use an iPad or iPhone and the metrics sync up with my streaming platform.

I bought my Schwinn Bike on Amazon. Just as an aside, I don’t take spending this much money lightly, but have been saving up my Discover points for a few years so between catching a sale and using my Discover cashback, it didn’t cost me a thing! Use my discover referral link and we’ll both get $50 in cashback for opening an account and meeting their criteria.

Brittney worked on me for years to try and get me to switch to Showit. I was hesitant…because learning a new platform and more expenses, etc. But it definitely lives up to the hype!

My Website Redesign

Over maternity leave, I did an entire site redesign. While I never did a big, formal launch, it’s here! Feel free to browse and let me know what you think (or if you find any broken links!), I appreciate all the thoughts and feedback. It was a labor of love. Start on the home page and then hop over to the contact page to tell me all your thoughts (or the comments below).

I used a TONIC SITE SHOP design on the SHOWIT website platform. If you are a creative considering a new website or redesign, I highly recommend both of these resources.

Entertainment – Audiobook

It is no secret. I love audiobooks. Audible and Libby are good friends of mine. A book I listened to recently that I highly recommend is Food is Not Medicine by Dr. Joshua Wolrich. If you have ever felt like your relationship with food is toxic, this book is for you. He goes through common diet trends, why you shouldn’t follow them and why not to feel bad about eating things you love.
