I loved working with Flower Farmer Bayleigh on her branding session to promote her flower farm, True Blue Flower Co., a flower-filled gathering space near Vergas, MN.

Capturing the Seasons of a Flower Farm
Bayleigh’s session took place over two seasons on the farm. We started the year with tulip season in the spring and ended with dahlia season in the fall. Due to the unique seasonality of a flower farm, it was important for us to do the session in two parts.

Showing the Variety
The flower farm is about more than ordering a flower subscription. True Blue Flower Co. also offers U-Pick experiences, classes, and occasionally other seasonal services. It was important for us to capture the beauty of the flowers and help potential customers imagine themselves in the field or at a workshop.

The Family Element
True Blue Flower Co. is run by a mom, so the family is very important to the operation. If you follow her on social media, Bayleigh often shows videos of the kiddos hanging out with her in the flower fields or how they stay occupied during the various farm tasks. We were sure to capture a sequence of family photos among the blooms towards the end of our time together.

Now let’s hear from Bayleigh and what she thought of the branding photography session process!
What was your favorite part about planning the branding session?
I enjoyed planning the branding session. Amber really worked to get a feel for the business and it was fun for me to reflect on what I valued in my brand too!

What is your favorite part of your new brand photos?
I liked the wide range and crisp colors. Amber did a great job finding angles and views of what I do that I would have never dreamed up myself.

How have these brand photos impacted your flower farm business?
They already have! I just them everywhere – advertisements, websites, thank you cards, presentations. Its so nice having consistency in image quality and styles. I have loved having updated versions over the years too.

Did we successfully accomplish your brand photography visual/photo goals? What was your favorite part about working together?
Yes! we accomplished what I wanted to from having these branding sessions! I also look forward to adding more in the future.

Overall what do you have to say about the branding photography experience?
Having a branding session with Amber allowed me to build my confidence and see myself and my business in a professional manner. It also helped others take my business seriously and capture the essence of what I do!

Bayleigh is the sweetest and has been a generous source of tips and info as I’ve planned my own photo-flower-field. If you are in the Frazee-Vergas-Detroit Lakes area, be sure to sign up for a flower subscription and then stop by during their U-Pick season to experience the fields for yourself (spoiler, they are magical).
