You guys, this was just one of those weddings and one of those days that made my heart happy. Beautiful day, stunning details, amazing people, gorgeous locations, weather that cooperated as much as we could ask for, what more could a girl want! And you could just see the love Emily & Travis shared by the way the looked at each other.
I am one of those people, I constantly check the weather prior to working an event or an outdoor photo session and I have learned that it simply does no good. The weather forecast is constantly changing and well if its going to work out, it is going to work out and Emily & Travis’ wedding was one of those days. There was a 60% chance of rain according to the source I was checking and I was starting to get worried, but it wasn’t raining, so we went out for the first look and it still wasn’t raining so we proceeded to take bride and groom portraits and it still wasn’t raining so we took all the bridal party portraits. Guys, it started raining right once we left the Wolf Lake Sportsmans park to head over to the Runeberg Apostolic Lutheran Church by Menahga for indoor family portraits. It was so perfect and the rain had let up again once the ceremony was over and the sun even came out that evening before storming later that night. What a blessing!
You may remember Emily & Travis’ engagement session from this winter, well their wedding day was thankfully a little warmer (maybe a little too much on the warm side, but I will not complain).
This ring is simply breathtaking
As soon as we pulled Emily’s dress out of the dress bag and hung it up on this tree (with the help of my husband and a step stool because that is a tall branch, but it was just perfect), I just knew every part of the day was going to be stunning!
And those shoes!! They might be simple flats, but they are simply gorgeous and while heels are awesome and do wonders for your legs, I have to say it is a pretty smart (and cute) move to go with the silver, glitter flats!
I had a couple little friends outside monitoring while we photographed wedding details 🙂
Emily’s bridesmaids had amazingly gorgeous hair!
What an awesome First Look!
And the moments following the first look <3
Emily’s dress has pockets!
Magical moments that sometimes happen in the country among some beautiful and tall ponderosa pines
What a great looking bridal party!
Getting ready to walk down the isle
I LOVED these place settings and the flower girls even got little tea cups!!
