Most family sessions occur outdoors, around the farm, or at your favorite location—however, we occasionally venture indoors, into the studio
The Amber Langerud Photography studio is a modest space with high ceilings and multiple background options inside our home on the farm. Depending on the day and type of session, we will use either natural window light or studio lights for your session.

For family photos, we often use the couch area, the paper backgrounds, and occasionally the air mattress when taking milestone photos of the little ones.

FAQs
Q: I have a large family is the Amber Langerud Photography studio a good fit for me?
A: Generally, I recommend using the studio for families of 4 people or less (we can maybe squeeze in 5).
Q: Should we come ready in our outfits or change when we get there?
A: I recommend coming ready to go in your outfits, except for your youngest family members. If they are still prone to spitting up and/or blow-out diapers, come in jammies or comfy clothes and have them change once you arrive.
Q: What color backgrounds do you have available?
A: While I switch out the backgrounds from time to time to keep things fresh, currently available as of December 2024 are white, bone, black, and dark stained wood.
Q: Do we take group photos and individual photos?
A: For family sessions we usually do a variety of groupings and individuals. For example, we often take full family, individuals of each of the kids, kids together, mom + kids, and dad + kids. I am also happy to accommodate your special requests if they fit into our allotted time slot.
